• Musty odor that returns within 48 hours of running a dehumidifier. A properly sealed crawl space with a correctly sized dehumidifier should hold below 55% RH indefinitely. If it rebounds fast, you have an air leak at the perimeter or a compromised vapor barrier, not an equipment problem.
